Very excited

to be featured on the 365 blog today.

With illness and pre Christmas craziness getting in the way, rabbits have been on hold. But I will get back to them at New Year - especially now I've got my own copy of 365 to inspire me!

Happy Christmas!!!

The coins have lasted no time on the Christmas tree this year...

Bunny pile

A pile of Bunnies, inspired by Mattias Adolfsson's cute picture of a pile of hedgehogs and that amazing duracell advert

Kissing rabbits

We made gingerbread for the Xmas tree today, so I made some rabbits ones. These were put a little too close together, so joined whilst baking.

Ostara had no problem pulling the cute little things apart and eating them though ... but only after she made me give them spotty coats and big smile!

I've been learning about snowflakes today on (sUCH amazing photos), and am amazed to learn snowflakes are never 8 sided (all those years of making them incorrectly!) and that they come in all sorts of shapes - bullets, cups and hollow columns - not just your stereotypical dendrites!

So I've been inspired to make lots of beautiful snowflakes today. And can't wait for real snow, so I can go out and take some close up photographs.

Ice cold

It's so cold at the moment, but stil no snow here. So the most exciting thing we have is frost! On the way back to school we spotted a really low roof, that was covered in untouched frost. I wish I had a really good camera, as the little frost patterns were beautiful... so instead we wrote on it, and melted it with our hands (which actually hurt).

Ooh, then I discovered a 2 fingered handprint looked very rabbit like!

Subconcious rabbits

Sometimes life gets in the way, and before you know it, it's been months without a Rabbit. I've been meaning to start my daily rabbits again, then realised i've been making rabbits without realising it!

Here's my little rabbit purse I just made myself. Based my our Rabbit Nibbles, who always seems to be hopping away from mischief!

Colony of leaves

I love the idea in Noah's book where he left his skull creations for people to find - like the skull sheet left for the cleaners.

Although finding a rabbit wouldn't have the same impact as a skull, I thought the idea was cute. So I've cut lots of rabbits out of leaves, to be left mingled with fallen leaves on the way to school tomorrow.

I'll be curious to see if anyone notices them? ... as on first glance they just look like ordinary leaves.

Here's my first attempt of making felt. Felt shaped rabbit, and felt balls ... all made from freshly cut rabbit fur - thanks Moo Moo!

Squash rabbit

As the pumpkin was too thin to actually carve, I brought a squash today and carved a 3D rabbit. I couldn't find a small knife, so it's not as delicate as i'd hoped.

Furry leaf

I pinched (I forgot my pen knife) a rabbit face out of a leaf today, using one of those furry leafs that I always think feel like rabbits ears.

Halloween Rabbit

Rabbit face carved from a pumpkin. Can't wait to see what it's looks like in a week. Noah's skulls looked fantastic as they wrinkled with age ...

Shadows everywhere ...

Think I'm now going crazy, as I'm seeing rabbits everywhere. Ostara's pen pot has now turned into one :-)

I had to cheat a bit and crop the image, because it looked like a rabbit with a massive bushy tail! But when I spotted it, the ears and face and paws look perfect!

Rabbit poo rabbit

Kinda cheating, but I love this postcard from the lovely James so much ... It had to be added.

"It's a rabbit poo rabbit" the lady in the bookshop said. "perfect" I say.

A Rabbit A Day

Inspired by Noah Scalin’s skull project "Skull-a-day"(where he made a skull a day for a year) and in excitement for his new book Make something 365.

I’ve decided to create a rabbit a day.

His book doesn’t come out until 15th December 2010, but I can’t wait … so I’m starting now – and hopefully there’ll be noticeable improvements when I get the book!
